  1. My suggestion – have a small chicken, not turkey and have smug conversations during the meal about how it is nicer anyway. Lots of pigs in blankets because childfen in particular often prefer them anyway. Lots of veg so plates ar full even with only a small amount of meat. and spin out the traditional table disractions eg find extra jokes for crackers online and shove them in. Dont bother with a pudding until they are really discounted low. Have a 50p one on 12th night. And there are bargains at closing time on Christmas eve to last for a few days.
